Visionnaire supported Tour House in evolving its GCP environment, bringing greater security, stability, and infrastructure efficiency

Results
Visionnaire's expertise also made MongoDB communication more secure, moving
it away from an external public-IP connection and onto the private network within the GCP infrastructure.
In addition, the existing infrastructure was reviewed and optimized, covering Cloud
Run, virtual machines, multiple IP addresses, MongoDB connections, and overall VM monitoring, reducing technical risks and
improving environment maintainability.
Visionnaire also gave Tour House access to specialized GCP and DevOps expertise
that the company did not have dedicated internally, enabling it to more safely assess the impact of application growth, new
integrations, and the addition of microservices.
As a result, future architecture and infrastructure issues were reduced, preventing
the application from continuing to grow without specialized review and avoiding problems being discovered only after new components
entered production.

Detailed Problem
Tour House turned to Visionnaire because it was developing its own application, already
hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), but did not have a dedicated in-house specialist for the platform. The company had
an infrastructure/DevOps professional shared across other projects, capable of handling deployments and operational activities,
but it needed more specialized support to assess the architecture, monitor the application's growth, and guide decisions related
to the addition of new microservices and GCP infrastructure. The initial concern was preventive: to keep the system from growing
with architectural issues that would only be discovered later, and to have a specialized partner for ad hoc consulting needs
and, potentially, to take on part of the DevOps activities.
This need became urgent when two concrete production issues emerged. The main one
involved Cloud Run, which used multiple outbound IP addresses, while some integrations with internal and third-party systems
required requests to originate from a previously authorized fixed IP. This limitation was preventing already-developed and
tested features from being effectively used in production. The second issue involved MongoDB, which had been added to the
architecture later and was communicating through an external IP; Tour House wanted to integrate it into the private network
of its GCP infrastructure, adopting more secure internal communication aligned with best practices.
Detailed Solution
Visionnaire proposed carrying out these activities through an agile process based
on Scrum, with sprints and iterative, incremental follow-up, using squad-based teams and cloud tools. The proposal also included
technologies related to infrastructure administration, such as Shell Script, Perl, and Python, with the final technical details
to be defined during the first few weeks, after gaining a deeper understanding of Tour House's environment.
For the initial scenario, the solution was primarily sized around a Senior DevOps
Support Analyst working on demand in a consulting model.
In summary, the proposal was not to replace Tour House's entire infrastructure, but
to provide specialized GCP and DevOps expertise to review, correct, optimize, and monitor the existing environment,
giving the Tour House team the technical support needed to resolve the identified issues and sustain the application's evolution.
