Visionnaire's consulting audited WoodFlow's software and cloud infrastructure, generating diagnosis, savings, and platform evolution

WoodFlow is a Brazilian digital platform focused
on the international timber trade, designed to connect domestic producers with global buyers and streamline the export process.
Through the platform, manufacturers can showcase their products and factories, while importers can request quotations and
track negotiations with greater transparency and traceability. However, the company needed to assess the technical condition
of a software project that was already under development but whose status and quality were unclear. To address this uncertainty,
WoodFlow required a technical audit and diagnosis of the existing code to understand what had been implemented, evaluate whether
the project could continue, and identify potential paths for maintenance or evolution. Additionally, the company sought to
analyze its cloud infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to identify opportunities for cost reduction and infrastructure
optimization, while also ensuring support for end users during the evaluation process.
Visionnaire proposed a technical consulting engagement focused on analyzing, auditing, and diagnosing the WoodFlow software project. The work was structured around three main activities: (1) auditing the system’s source code to evaluate what had been developed and its overall quality, (2) auditing the AWS cloud infrastructure to identify optimization opportunities and potential cost reductions, and (3) providing initial support to end users during the analysis period. After completing the diagnostic phase, Visionnaire recommended continuing the project through evolutionary maintenance, improvements, and new developments using agile methodologies based on Scrum and specialized development teams (squads). The engagement was conducted using the Outsourcing model, with Visionnaire assembling a highly specialized team tailored to WoodFlow’s specific needs.
As a result, Visionnaire delivered a comprehensive
diagnosis of the software and technological environment, gaining a clear understanding of the project and defining the next
steps for its continuation. The consulting work led to a cost reduction of at least two-thirds through technical optimization
rather than hardware replacement. It also provided recommendations for system maintenance and evolution, improved infrastructure
efficiency, supported users during the transition, and helped WoodFlow make informed decisions about the platform’s
future development.
