Visionnaire supported CIEB by providing IT professionals to modernize educational systems

The Brazilian Center for Innovation in Education
(CIEB) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to innovation and the strategic use of technology in public education. To advance
its mission, the institution needed to overcome challenges involving IT recruitment, system maintenance, and modernization
of its digital platforms.
With a small technical team and budget constraints,
CIEB struggled to hire and retain qualified developers. Its main platform, Guia EduTec, also had a complex technical architecture,
with maintenance difficulties, performance bottlenecks, and high infrastructure costs.
To address these challenges, Visionnaire offered
an IT staff outsourcing solution, initially assigning a full-time mid-level Systems Analyst/Developer integrated into CIEB’s
team. The partnership provided access to specialized skills, operational flexibility, and greater cost predictability without
permanently expanding headcount.
The project involved modernizing Guia EduTec, originally
developed with Ruby on Rails, React, and MongoDB, including rebuilding the back-end with Node.js and a planned migration to
PostgreSQL. The infrastructure used AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, while tools such as Bitbucket and Jira supported development,
organized with agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
The partnership sought to strengthen CIEB’s
technical capacity, improve system scalability and maintainability, optimize costs, and accelerate deliveries. In this way,
Visionnaire contributed to the institution’s technological evolution, supporting its mission to drive digital transformation
in Brazilian public education.
